ermanent eyeliner is a PMU (permanent makeup) treatment that involves using a specialised tattoo machine to implant pigment on the lash line to replicate the look of eyeliner. The treatment, also known as an eyeliner tattoo, can be applied in a variety of styles, including larger strong wings, light lash enhancements, or smokey looks in many colours. The most commonly requested styles are: Lash enhancement – subtle definition through the lash line with a soft blend Winged liner – a wing or flick extends out above the crease of your lids on the outer corners Shaded liner – a soft, smokey line diffusing out from the lash line like smudged pencil Butterfly liner – a bold look, with shading through the lash line, up onto the lid and through the crease Artists may refer to permanent eyeliner styles differently, so it is always best to have a thorough consultation – and don’t be afraid to bring inspiration photos!
